The US has approached the pandemic in a way that resembles how some address bankruptcy - wait and wait hoping for the best, but with no plan for how to recover from the worst. Lawyers call this unplanned bankruptcy a “free fall.” We need to shift gears and stop the free fall approach to this crisis.
